Tawanda served three prison sentences. Through Angels' Cove she received the help she desperately needed. Today she is happily married, and is reunited with her five children. Tawanda owns a home, has a career as a phlebotomist, and is a peer-mentor - facilitator for Angels' Cove.
Carlos was charged with domestic violence and was caught in a web of negative behaviors that almost destroyed his family. He received the help and healing he needed to over come the guilt and shame of being an abuser and now volunteers as a youth counselor. He recently graduated from ACI and plans to tell his story at our annual Domestic Violence Community Symposium in October 2015.
Marie battled addiction for a number of years and lost everything. She used the tools and strategies and tools ACI provided and now has a fresh start. Marie began a career as an administrative coordinator and is working toward her degree in Psychology. She gives back by sharing her story at ACI's annual "Pass The Baton" conference.
